Trust is the foundation Oruvie is being built on. Matchmaking only works when you can be confident the person you’re speaking to is real, serious, and who they say they are — and when your own details stay under your control.
How Oruvie is being designed
- Verification first. The Oruvie Trust Passport will verify identity, liveness, and age, and progressively employment, education, and family — before people are introduced.
- Privacy by default. Details are revealed gradually and mutually. Your photos, contact details, and conversations are never available to strangers or sold behind a subscription.
- Mutual acceptance. Communication opens only when both people choose it. There are no unsolicited messages.
- You stay in control. Family can be involved when you invite them — and your private conversations stay private.
While we’re pre-launch
Right now the only thing you can do on oruvie.app is apply to the Founding Circle. That means:
- We will never ask you for money, bank details, passwords, or one-time codes. Joining the Founding Circle is free.
- We won’t introduce you to anyone, or share your details with anyone, before the product launches and you choose to take part.
- Genuine Oruvie email comes from an @oruvie.app address. Treat anything else claiming to be Oruvie with suspicion, and forward it to us.
When you do start meeting people
However carefully introductions are made, the judgement that keeps you safe is yours. The basics apply to any matchmaking service, including ours:
- Take your time before sharing contact details, and video call before meeting.
- Meet first in a public place, and tell someone you trust where you’ll be.
- Never send money to someone you haven’t met, whatever the story. Requests for money are the clearest scam signal there is.
- If something feels off, stop and tell us. You won’t be penalised for raising a concern.
Reporting
If you see something concerning — someone impersonating Oruvie, a suspicious message, anything that doesn’t feel right — write to hello@oruvie.app. A person reads every report.
